Hello everyone,
We at Make-A-Wish cannot believe summer is almost over. August saw a special moment happen in the Make-A-Wish office - Fiachra's wish!
Fiachra dropped by the Make-A-Wish office after his treatment to receive his extra special 16th birthday wish: computer components to build his own PC! It was lovely for everyone to be a part of the wishgranting moment which included a piece of cheeky birthday cake for everyone there. Fiachra was kind enough to explain how each component would be used. He was eager to get working on putting it all together.
So far this year 92 magical wishes have been granted, including Fiachra's wish and Matthew's amazing wish, which you can read about below. Thank you for your ongoing support as without you none of this would be possible.

Matthew Drums Up the Perfect Wish
Matthew, age 14, from Donegal had a very unique wish to attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, dress in an authentic Scottish outfit and play the snare drums. What a wish! Last week Matthew and his family flew to Edinburgh and had a fun filled trip with special behind the scenes access of the Tattoo. Matthew also got to meet the Top Secret military band from Basel, Switzerland and show them his drumming skills.

Dublin Marathon 26th October
Will you be a Superhero for brave children?
Last year, wish dad Michael Coleman challenged himself by completing the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon in memory of his son Cian, who passed away in February 2013. Cian had his wish to go to Disneyland Florida and visit family in the US granted by Make-A-Wish in September 2012. After Cian passed away Michael decided to train for the 2014 Dublin City Marathon to raise funds for Make-A-Wish so that other brave children, like Cian, could have their wish granted. Four men joined Michael on his journey and they raised an incredible €17,500 for Make-A-Wish.

Congratulations
Jonathon, Jordan, Ben, Shane and Jack traveled from Dublin to Mongolia to raise funds for Make-A-Wish
We would like to take the opportunity to say a huge congratulations to the "46a to Mongolia" guys! The group set out on their epic journey on 11th July, intending to make the 28,000 km journey to raise funds for Make-A-Wish and Go Help. They completed their journey last week and we are so grateful to have been part of it. You can read about their adventures here.

Golf Classic 2015
Join us at Carton House for our 2015 Golf Classic on the 22nd September. Fourballs are €500 per team, which includes a round of golf, barbeque and entertainment.
